Good Hygiene Regime to minimise spread of infection
1. Most importantly children with flu symptoms: coughs, sneezes, sore throat, fever headache, chills, aching should be kept at home.
2. Any child displaying symptoms during pandemic to be sent home.

Hand washing- particularly after coughing, sneezing, using tissues - ensure
adequate
supply of soap and hand towels. Consider hand cleansers.
4. Available tissues in the classroom and closed top bins for their disposal preferably foot operated.

Education of all children in the school on good hygiene with reference to having
'a
cold or flu' to include following points:
· Regular hand washing
· Use of tissues and their disposal, covering mouth when coughing, washing hands after these events.
· Not sharing other people’s equipment when ill.
6. Classrooms cleaned with appropriate cleaning products, hard surfaces wiped down daily.
7. Avoid unnecessary assembly of children - no school assemblies, chapel, choir etc.
8. No sharing of any equipment.
9. Provision of an isolation room and person to care for symptomatic child (matron) until relieved by parent/carer.
· Supply of disposable gloves, aprons, masks, hand cleansers and facilities for their disposal.
· Matron to be trained in use of above.
· Cleaning of room after each child has left.
