Pre Prep Nativity - December 2005

The Christmas season began in traditional style at Edgeborough School in Frensham with the delightful Pre Prep Nativity. The hundred boys and girls aged between 4 and 7 presented a very moving piece called ‘A Present for the Baby’. Along with the tableau of Mary, Joseph and the Baby Jesus in the Stable was a host of other characters from messengers to elephants. All were trying desperately to find a way to stop the baby Jesus from crying. Presents of all kinds were offered to him, but in the end it was a simple kiss which did the trick, and peace reigned. Once again it was the message of love and kindness which overrode the material pleasures and proved to be the strongest force. The Headmaster congratulated the staff on their indefatigable work behind the scenes to make such a thing like this happen. ‘Christmas always begins at this point for us’, he said. ‘No-one does it more poignantly than these youngsters’.
