Text Box: Boarding

There is a well-established pastoral care system at Edgeborough to ensure that all the needs of the children are addressed.  Every child has a class teacher who oversees their pastoral as well as their academic needs.

Edgeborough's boarding community of some fifty boys and girls is at the very heart of the School and the family atmosphere created by this is of benefit to everyone.  Weekly boarding is an option which offers ideal support to a busy family, and enables children to make full use of the School's recreational facilities.

'Hotel' boarding is also popular among the younger children.  The health of the School is overseen by the Housemistress and matrons.  A child who is unwell will be cared for in the sick bay with Matron close at hand.

The diet of the School is healthy, nutritious and varied based organic produce with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables.  The food is attractively presented and meals are taken in the dining room with family service.  A dining hall committee, with representatives from the children ensures that meals are popular.
