The Lower Prep which takes children from the ages of 7-10, is housed in the distinctive Stable Block which has won several awards for its restoration and conservation.  In this busy part of the School the length of the day is extended and the curriculum broadened to build on the foundations of the early years.  The teaching is class-based, with specialist teaching in music, French, drama, art and design-technology.  When academic and sporting commitments are over there is a wide range of extra-curricular activities on offer.  Tests are taken at the end of this stage to form the Lower Prep Assessment which is based for setting in the Upper Prep.

  • The Lower Prep has its own particular identity, which is encouraged by a common sense of purpose and its own committed and professional staff.
