Mr D Thornburn

Dan became the Headmaster of Edgeborough in September 2017 following three years as the Head at St Petroc’s in Bude. Prior to this he spent nine years at Chafyn Grove School as a Head of ICT, Form Tutor, Head of Rugby and Deputy Head. He started his career at Lockers Park School as a Class Teacher and Head of Rugby. Dan is joined at Edgeborough by his wife Emi and young children Molly and Walter, as well as their incredibly popular Golden Retriever Humphrey. He is a passionate sportsman enjoying cricket, hockey and squash but his first love is rugby – back in the Dark Ages he played for Middlesex and Exeter Chiefs 2nd XV and he says he still thinks he has a game left in him somewhere…Emi isn’t so sure!

Mr C Holder

Or the mischievous Mathematician! Mr Holder likes to drive and sustain creative learning and teaching through collaboration and change. Clive has enjoyed many years as Deputy Head at Edgeborough and in Independent Schools globally. His interests include symmetrical gardening, the Park Run and problem solving!

Mrs C Connelly

Cheryl joined Edgeborough as Business Manager in August 2016 and is part of the Edgeborough Leadership Team (ELT). Prior to joining Edgeborough, Cheryl worked for the Audit Commission inspecting organisations throughout the UK before moving into the Education sector. In her free time Cheryl likes to train for running events ranging from half to full marathons, as well as the annual GRIM challenge.

Mr K Annis

Mr Annis joined Edgeborough in September 2001 as Head of English. He is now Deputy Head (Academic) and still very much enjoys teaching English to Years 6, 7 and 8. Before joining Edgeborough he had taught in a range of independent and maintained schools, at home and overseas. Away from school he enjoys photography, all things French, good conversation, great books and really bad jokes!

Mr R Smith

Rob is one of our Deputy Heads and joined Edgeborough from Haslemere Prep School in 2016. He is a passionate sportsman and was previously Deputy Head and Director of Sport and Wellingborough Prep School. He has a passion for cricket and hockey in particular, and coaches sport to girls and boys across all age groups. He continues to play his own cricket, playing locally in the summer.

Nursery

Mrs J Potten

Jane joined Edgeborough as a Nursery teacher in 1993. She is now Head of Early Years, Reception and Nursery classes. Jane enjoys teaching in all year groups, especially Read Write Inc. in Reception and previously worked in publishing and in several Nursery schools. When not at school she particularly likes adventures with her young grandsons and to spend time in her ‘retreat’ in the South of France enjoying the cuisine and local rosé.

Ms H Bannister

Hilary has volunteered and worked at Edgeborough since 2012 in Years 4, 5, Pre Prep and Nursery. Now working in Nursery 2, she also supports Nursery 1. Having recently completed a QCF in Teaching Support, Hilary is looking forward to getting back on her bike to improve her fitness.

Miss L Blair

Louise joined Edgeborough as a Nursery 2 Assistant in 2011. Previous to Edgeborough, she worked at a full day care Nurseries, volunteered at several Primary Schools, spent time with various families as their Nanny, in and out of the country. An active person outside of work; she is a keen Gym-goer, an ex-Gymnast and a qualified coach in the Sport. She really enjoys being given the time on Friday mornings to teach Gymnastics to the children of Nursery 2.

Miss C Gregory

Charlotte joined Edgeborough as a Nursery 2 assistant in 2012. Since then she has worked in both Nursery 1 and 2. She is looking forward to the new challenge of beginning her teacher training course in the 2018!

Miss D Horn

Denise joined the Edgeborough Nursery team in 2011 as a part-time member of staff. She worked for an Edgeborough family looking after their children for 12 years and now this has come to an end, Miss Horn works full time in the Nursery. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her beautiful niece.

Mrs B Schoenberg

Mrs Schoenberg joined Edgeborough Nursery in April 2011 and is known as Miss Berni to the children. She enjoys working with the children in Nursery 2 and was previously a nanny for several Edgeborough families, as well as working in a local Surrey Council School for 10 years. Coh-Co Chanel, her pet parrot makes regular visits to the Nursery which brings much joy and plenty of smiles to the children’s faces.

Mrs C Shearman

Carol started working in Nursery 1 in 2015 as a Nursery assistant having previously worked at Treloars school and college as a residential support assistant. She is mum to two children, Megan, 16, and Joel, 11, and has a dog, Rosie, and a cat, Tibbles.

 

Pre Prep

Miss E Goble

Emma joined Edgeborough as a Year 4 teacher in 2012. She is now the Head of Years 1 and 2 and a Year 2 teacher, with responsibility for PSHE across the school. Prior to joining Edgeborough, Emma studied Spanish at Cardiff University before completing teacher training. In her free time, Emma enjoys cooking, cycling and Zumba, as well as making the most of the holidays to travel and explore new places!

Mrs J Chipperfield

Jo joined Edgeborough in the Nursery in 2010 and in 2014 she moved to Reception where she is now a class teacher. Prior to joining Edgeborough she worked in Corporate Events for 10 years. In her free time Jo likes to spend time with her family and three boys, as well as gardening, photography and being an active member of St James Church in Rowledge.

Mrs S Clifford

Sally joined Edgeborough Pre Prep in September 2015. She previously taught in a Middle School after qualifying as a teacher and then set up and ran a Nursery School for nearly 15 years whilst bringing up her four children. In her free time, Sally likes to learn Italian and visit the country as much as possible to practise. She plays badminton and enjoys watching MasterChef!

Mrs S Goddard

Sarah joined Edgeborough in 2007 working as a TA in the Nursery. Sarah then moved to Reception for two years and is currently a teaching assistant in Year 1. Prior to joining Edgeborough, Sarah set up and ran a Day Nursery at Ashcombe School, Dorking. Sarah then took time off to raise her family. Gardening is a passion and she would spend every waking moment outside (weather permitting), while also enjoying walking and cooking. Her family and friends are incredibly important to her and spending time with them is essential for her well-being and sanity!

Mrs S Hayman-Start

Sally joined Edgeborough in September 2012 as a Year 1 teacher. Before working here, she worked at Daneshill School where for six years she was a TA for Nursery – Year 2 while continuing her training and then spent four years as a Year 1 teacher. In her free time, Sally enjoys spending time with her family and going on adventures with her daughter, Erin.

Mrs C Hooper

Camilla has been at Edgeborough for 14 years and joined as a Teaching Assistant in Year 2. During that time she has worked with a number of Heads of Department and also with Year 1 and Reception classes, while also teaching Year 2 Music. With more time on her hands since her children have flown the nest, she enjoys the theatre and music and is a keen singer. Other interests include sport and the great outdoors and also travelling whenever possible!

Mrs O McKenna

Olivia joined Edgeborough in 2015 as a Year 3 teacher and now teaches in Reception. Olivia loves to bring art and crafts into the classroom, so you will often find glitter and paint scattered all over the room! Prior to joining Edgeborough, she taught Reception and Year 1 in schools across Surrey and in London. In her spare time, Olivia likes to explore the Surrey and Hampshire countryside with her family, and travel to places near and far to experience different countries and cultures.

Mrs T Morante

Tania joined Edgeborough as a Year 2 teacher in 1995. She is currently a Year 1 teacher. Prior to joining Edgeborough, Tania taught Year 7 English at Collarenebri Central School and Year 1 at Inverell Public School in New South Wales, Australia. In her free time Tania likes to spend time with her family, gardening, going to the cinema/theatre and she loves reading a wide range of novels. Tania loves to return to Australia whenever possible to visit her family and catch up with old friends.

Mrs T Pavitt

Tanya joined Edgeborough in 1995 and worked as a Nursery Teacher in N1 for 15 years, with a couple of maternity breaks during this time for daughter, Naomi and son, Finlay. Mrs Pavitt is currently a Teaching Assistant in Year 2 and loves the Learning Support side of education and looks forward to developing this further at some point. Prior to joining Edgeborough she worked in Marbella as a Nanny and during her free time she and her children like visiting her husband in the holidays who currently works in St. Tropez.

Miss T Platt

Tara joined Edgeborough in October 2006 as a Nursery Assistant and now works as a TA for Year 1. Prior to joining Edgeborough, she was a Crèche Manager in Morzine for the winter seasons and Turkey for the summer seasons. In her free time, Tara enjoys outdoor sports with her two sons.

Mrs J Smith

Jill joined Edgeborough in 2007 as teaching assistant in Pre-prep, after previously working in a local pre-school for seven years. As she is a modern languages graduate, she was delighted to take over teaching French four years ago, teaching all classes from Nursery 1 to Year 3.

Mr T Barette

Tim joined Edgeborough School in April 2016 and teaches Computing and ICT. Prior to working at Edgeborough he was an Education Curriculum Consultant in Surrey and teacher in Kent. Outside of school he enjoys cycling, tinkering around with gadgetry and the odd bit of DIY.

Mrs L Bird

Louisa joined the staff at Edgeborough in September 2016 to teach Latin to Years 6, 7 and 8. As well as teaching the Latin language she enjoys organising Roman feasts, battles and mythological re-enactments in her lessons. She has a young family who keep her busy as a chauffeur and general administrative assistant, but in her spare time she enjoys reading, Pilates, going to the theatre and travelling, particularly in Italy. Prior to joining Edgeborough she was Head of Classics at St Edmund’s in Hindhead and taught English GCSE and A Level for many years at Twyford High School in West London.

Mr M Darlow

Mike joined Edgeborough as a Year 4 teacher in September 2017. He loves his sport and as a member of the Games staff he currently coaches football, rugby, hockey and cricket. Prior to joining Edgeborough, Mike was a class teacher at Highfield South Farnham and Head of Sport at Ewell Castle Prep School. In his free time Mike likes to play rugby, explore the Surrey countryside and build Lego with his children, Ellie and Oliver.

Mrs K Davies

Kate has been working at Edgeborough as Director of Music since 2009. She now combines that role with a Head of Girls position. Prior to working at Edgeborough, Kate was Director of Music at Arnold House School in St John’s Wood and at The Green Comprehensive in Hounslow. Her two children have been with her at Edgeborough since 2009 and are now nearing the top of the school. In her free time she enjoys long distance running and playing Chamber music with friends.

Mrs C Grayson

Charlie joined Edgeborough in January 2013 teaching Year 4 English and Girls Games. Since September 2016 she has been Year 5 form teacher teaching Mathematics, English and Girls Games. Prior to joining Edgeborough Charlie was Head of Girls Games for 12 years at Garden House School London. Currently both her children are at Edgeborough and outside school Charlie runs a busy household and loves to play sport.

Mrs C Grist

Colette joined Edgeborough as a specialist Mathematics teacher in 2014. She teaches Years 5, 6 and 7, as well as supporting Mathematics teaching across the school. She has previously taught in a range of Primary schools including being a Mathematics Curriculum Coordinator. Colette is Governor for a local school and chairs the Teaching and Learning Committee. She has a real love for outdoor activities and adventure and is a Leader for a local Scouts Group.

Miss S Hammond

After graduating from Roehampton University in 2011, Sian spent many years teaching a range of age groups before wanting to explore the world, which including a trip across South America in 2014 – an experience of a life time and one that she would tick off her bucket list! Sian joined Edgeborough School in September 2017, taking on the role of Year 3 Teacher and Girls’ Games Coach. Sport has been a passion of hers for many years – in particular, netball. She has coached Netball clubs for both boys and girls up to the age of 11 and been Sports Coordinator at both her previous schools.

Miss S Hinchliffe

Sabrina began her career at Edgeborough as a Year 4 teacher and Girls’ Games coach. She is now Head of Drama and a Year 6 tutor, as well as continuing with her Games coaching role. Sabrina trained to teach at South Farnham School and remained within the academy before joining Edgeborough in 2016. In addition to netball and amateur dramatics, Sabrina’s hobbies include singing, playing the guitar and song-writing.

Mrs H Holder

Heather joined Edgeborough as a class teacher when she re-located from Durban, South Africa in 2001. She now specialises in co-ordinating the Library and teaching English and Reading. Outside of school life, she likes to walk her two sausage dogs, Petal and Paisley, as well as doing a bit of gardening when the weather is fair and read when the weather is not!

Marian joined Edgeborough in 2010 as Head of Design Technology and also teaches Year 5 Science and is a Year 5 Form teacher. Prior to joining Edgeborough, Marian taught Design Technology to GCSE pupils at Weydon Comprehensive School in Farnham and Farnborough Hill Senior School where she taught Design Technology to ‘A’ Level. In her spare time Marian enjoys swimming, walking and all creative pursuits!

Miss G Iffland

Gill joined Edgeborough in 2015 as a Year 4 class teacher. She is now Head of Year 3 and 4 and enjoys looking after the GAP Students. Originally from South Africa, Gill moved to the UK 8 years ago, first doing some supply teaching in Surrey (living in Wimbledon with all the other South Africans!) before moving to a Year 3 teaching post at Moreton Hall Prep School in Suffolk. Gill is a keen runner, but do not ask her about it as she will bore you with injury stories! She has two nieces and a nephew who lives close by and often get quite spoilt in the holidays!

Mrs D Johnson

Domitille is Edgeborough’s French native speaker. She joined the school in 2009 and is passionate about sharing her language and culture, teaching across the whole age range within the school.

Mrs C Jones

Charlotte joined Edgeborough in 2014 from Downe House, Berkshire where she was a mixed aged Housemistress, PE/Games teacher and SpLD teacher. She is the Head of Boarding and having been a boarder herself from an early age she can fully empathise with the children and parents alike and strives to make a home from home experience for the boarders. Charlotte is also a qualified SpLD teacher and works with pupils individually supporting their specific needs in the LEAP department. In addition to this Charlotte is the school listener. In her free time Charlotte enjoys walking and spending time with her family.

Mr D Jones

David joined Edgeborough in September 2014 to take over as Director of Sport and to support his wife, Mrs Jones, in the boarding house. Before starting at Edgeborough he was Head of Games at Moulsford Prep School for five years as well as working in the boarding house. Mr Jones started his teaching career at The Piggott School in Wargrave teaching PE and sport to Years 7 to12 including GCSE and A-level.

Mrs S Khan

Joining Edgeborough in September 2017, Mrs Khan teaches Year 4 and Girls’ Games. Prior to this, she was at a local Hampshire Junior School where she taught Year 4 and was Head of French. Outside of school, Mrs Khan enjoys walking her dog (at the beach whenever she can!) and spending time with her family.

Mr H King

Harrison first arrived at Edgeborough in 1991, all be it at 3 years old, joining one of the first co-ed year groups to start the school. After moving on to Frensham Heights he earned a deferred place to study Chemistry at Warwick University and used his gap year to gain employment in science and found himself at Bohunt School joining their team of technicians. In 2012 Harry returned to Edgeborough to take on the role of Science Technician. Since his start Harry has taken on a collection of additional roles in the school including Climbing Assistant and Special Effects Coordinator for the plays, to name a few.

Mrs C Marren

Clare joined Edgeborough in 2015 and teaches English and Religious Studies in the Prep. Clare trained to teach in 2012 and completed her NQT year at Calthorpe Park comprehensive school in Fleet. She has also worked at Wellington College and various comprehensive schools, during teaching training. In her spare time she enjoys reading, singing in a choir and walking the dog with her children.

Mrs J Metcalfe

Judith is in her 16th year at Edgeborough and over the years has worn many hats, from being a Nursery and Year 2 teacher to a term running the Art department. Judith is a gregarious, book loving, Art mad, Francophile and an avid theatre goer. Revelling in the rumbustiousness of a large family, a tribe of cats and a remarkably calm husband (ruby wedding coming up!) she demonstrates passion and enthusiasm in all that she does!

Mrs B O’Reilly

Beth joined Edgeborough as a Year 3 teacher in 2015 and also teaches Year 4 Science and runs the school prayer space, ‘Orison’. Beth loves art, baking and gardening and so her classroom is always a creative place to be! Prior to joining Edgeborough, Beth taught Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 at an international school in India. In her free time she likes to walk her English springer spaniel, whose name is ‘Omnom’, and spend time with her family, who live in Newcastle, Cambridge and Dorset.

Miss C Rafferty

Claudia joined Edgeborough in 2016 as Head of Girls’ Games and a Year 8 form tutor. Claudia’s major passion in life is sport, whether it is coaching, teaching, watching or playing, combing all of those things at Edgeborough with the ethos of “sport for all” means it is her ideal job. She coaches and plays Netball for Winchester, and is an avid Rugby fan (although unfortunately supports London Irish).

Mr T Robson

Tom is in his 7th year at Edgeborough and has been a class teacher in every year group from Year 3 to Year 6, teaching Mathematics, Science, English and Games. Before joining Edgeborough, Tom taught at Loseley Fields in Farncombe and South Farnham School. He has not been a teacher throughout his entire working life having worked in Kenya and London trading tea for 10 years. Away from work, Tom enjoys refereeing rugby at various schools as well as officiating adult matches and competing at Latin dancing.

Mrs A Rook

Angela joined Edgeborough in 2015. And is now Head of Art for Years 3 to 8. After completing her degree in Art and Art History from Cambridge University, Angela was Head of Art at Campbell College Preparatory School, Belfast and Cumnor House School in Croydon. In her free time Angela loves nothing more than visiting galleries with her family, painting and drawing when she gets the chance, as well as walking her two dogs, Harry the Cocker Spaniel and Buddy the Pug.

Mrs C Smith

Caroline is Head of French and joined Edgeborough in 2017 from Haslemere Prep School. Previously, she spent 15 years teaching French and Spanish at Wellingborough Prep School in Northamptonshire, where she was Head of Modern Languages. She has a passion for languages and cultures and all things French.

Mrs E Stemp

Secondary trained, Liz worked in a number of local senior schools before joining Edgeborough in 2003. She works part-time, teaching French across all age groups.

Mrs J Thomas

Jennifer joined Edgeborough as Head of Geography and a Year 6 Form Tutor in 2010. Since having her two daughters she now works at Edgeborough part time as Head of Geography and teaching girls games. Jennifer’s favourite sport at Edgeborough is Lacrosse and she was Club Captain and a 1st team player at Durham University. Before becoming a teacher Jennifer worked in London as a Travel Consultant allowing her the opportunity to work in and visit in many countries across South and South-East Asia.

Mr M Trewinnard

Mark joined Edgeborough School in 2015 as a Physical Education and Games Teacher and Year 5 Form Tutor. Mark is now Head of Burton House and is extremely passionate about all sport. He regularly watches and participates in lots of different sporting activities and is a keen runner, swimmer and cyclist, as well as playing for Reigate Priory Hockey Club. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his young family and watching them grow and develop their skills. Before joining Edgeborough School, Mark taught at The Priory Church of England School and graduated from University of Chichester after studying Physical Education Teaching.

Mr I J F Weck

Ivo grew up in The Netherlands and attended Wageningen University where he studied forestry finishing with a Master’s degree in wood science and a PGCE. He moved to England in 1990 and has taught at Edgeborough since 1994. During his long career he has had many different jobs but currently his main focus is on science and climbing. As Head of Science he tries to keep the lessons interesting and exciting by allowing the children to do lots of experiments while also preparing them for CE and scholarship exams. He has also been able to project his love of all things outdoors in the Climbing Club, with several children over the past few years going on to have national and international success.

Mr G S J Wells-Cole

Since James joined Edgeborough he has held numerous roles and is currently Head of History and Religious Studies, as well as a Year 8 form tutor. James is a passionate Historian who is an active member of the local History Association, while his other passion is sports, coaching all of the major sports at senior level. Cricket remains his first love and he has run the School’s 1st XI for as long as anyone can remember! He is married to wife Emily and has three children at Edgeborough, Ellie in Pre Prep and Gerry and Henry further up the school. He’s also the owner of much loved black labs Monty and Hastings, plus his (grudgingly) adopted cats Coco and Bumble.

Mrs L Webster

Lana joined Edgeborough in 2010 as a Nurse in the Nursery, she then moved onto Pre Prep as a Teaching Assistant in Year 1. Lana loves being creative through displays and teaching the children to be creative in the after school club. Prior to joining Edgeborough Lana worked as a full time nanny.

Mr D S Yates

After completing his degree at Newcastle University and PGCE in Lancaster Duncan joined Edgeborough in 2010. He teaches Maths in Years 5-8 and coaches Games in Years 5 and 6, as well as being the Head of James House and Assistant Boarding Housemaster. His interests include travelling, visiting museums and following his favourite football team – Newcastle United. He also likes to read the classics such as The Count of Monte Cristo and Les Miserables and is currently working his way through the IMDb top 250 films!

LEAP

Mrs H Pasley

Helen joined Edgeborough in 2013 to become Director of SEND. Helen worked in mainstream, as a class teacher at a special school in Surrey, and more recently was the SENCo at an independent school in Hampshire. Helen is passionate about all areas of specific difficulties, striving to help pupils reach their potential. In her spare time Helen enjoys volunteering, walking, travelling, and spending time with her family.

Mrs J Elliott

Josie joined Edgeborough in 2017 as a specialist teacher in the LEAP department. After teaching for ten years in the mainstream, Josie completed a Masters course in ‘Specific Learning Difficulties and Dyslexia’ at Bath Spa University, and then worked with pupils with specific learning needs in Ascot, before having her second child and re-locating to Hampshire. In her free time, Josie enjoys singing in military wives choirs, making jewellery and undertaking arts and crafts projects.

Mrs J Mayo

Jocelyn joined Edgeborough in 2005 after training as a teacher for Specific Learning Difficulties at the Helen Arkell Centre. Prior to this she completed a BA in Classics at London University followed by a career in marketing and brand management in Hertfordshire and then Manchester. Since joining Edgeborough, Jocelyn has specialised in mathematics teaching enjoys demystifying maths by using hands-on activities and visual representation to explain concepts. In her spare time she enjoys walking, gardening and baking.

Mrs V McMillan

Vanessa joined Edgeborough in the LEAP department in 2017. She worked as a class teacher in mainstream schools before becoming a class teacher in a school for autistic children. From there Vanessa moved to work as a teacher in a speech and language centre. Vanessa works hard to understand how children’s minds work and strives to support them to reach their full potential. She now juggles her growing family and enjoys any quiet time she can find.

Ms L Watson

Laura joined Edgeborough in the LEAP department in 2015. She worked as a class teacher in schools in London, Hertfordshire and Surrey before becoming the Head of a Special Needs Centre attached to a mainstream school. As a specialist teacher, Laura is passionate about supporting children to overcome barriers to their learning and reach their potential. In her spare time, Laura enjoys walking her dog, dressmaking and spending time with her family and friends.

Support Staff

Ms J Ashworth

Janet joined Edgeborough in 1996. She previously worked in the commercial sector and gained her financial experience within the music business and IT industry.

Mrs C Davis

Christine joined Edgeborough in 2015 having enjoyed a successful 20 years working in outstanding schools in both the state and independent sectors. Understanding the importance of ‘getting it right’ when selecting the best educational provision for your child, she loves her role as the Admissions Registrar at Edgeborough. Christine draws on her experience of working in a private school in Florida, USA and moving back to the UK with a young family, plus successive roles in exceptional schools that put the nurturing of pupils at the centre of their ethos.

Mrs G Dixon

Gill joined Edgeborough in January 2002 and is the Headmaster’s PA. Before joining Edgeborough Gill worked at Coutts & Co in the Strand as PA to the Head of Commercial Banking. When not in school she likes to go Nordic Walking and do Body Combat classes!

Mrs A Durrant

Andrea joined Edgeborough in 2017 as Assistant Matron and away from school life she enjoys quilting and long dog walks with her family.

Miss CJ Fleming-Chart

Cheridah otherwise fondly known as ‘Miss FC’ is the House Matron and can be found in the Boarding House or the surgery downstairs looking after the care and welfare of the pupils and staff. Miss FC has been at Edgeborough since September 1986 and has a wealth of knowledge about not only the pupils but the history of the school too. Matron also has a very popular Labrador called Manikin.

Mrs H Green

Helen joined Edgeborough in 2007. Her role is primarily the Lettings Secretary for Edgeborough facilities but she also provides administration support in the school office. She enjoys gardening and walking and previously worked for an events management company and for ICI.

Mrs P Jeanmonod

Phill joined Edgeborough as temporary part time cover for a maternity leave in 2005 but is now a full time member of our School Office team. Prior to working here Phill spent ten years at the Farnham Maltings, heading up their Box Office and then organising the Monthly Markets. In her free time she enjoys photography and watching movies.

Mr D Lock

David joined Edgeborough in 2006 after a career in Computing and Project management within ICI. He shares a hobby with his wife Jill, a retired professional dancer and dance teacher, in showing and breeding Lhasa Apso dogs. Between them they have achieved a number of firsts at Crufts and made up four Champions in the Breed. His other passion is specimen Carp, Pike and catfish angling.

Mrs L Scott

Joining the Admin team in 2015, Lindsey provides a unique blend of experience and knowledge from airport-based customer services in the Travel Industry, Software Support in the Surveying & Financial Industry and, latterly, from working with children in Years 5-9 in the Learning Support field. Known for her enthusiasm and dedication to customer service, Lindsey enjoys supporting the family that is Edgeborough School – the staff, children and their families.

Mr G Stoneman

George joined Edgeborough in 2017 as the Marketing Manager. He graduated from UCA Farnham in 2015 with a degree in Sports Journalism and spent his time before Edgeborough working as a reporter for the Farnham Herald. Outside of work he switches off with the help of 5-a-side football and running and is a big football and NFL fan.

Mrs E Thornburn

After graduating from Exeter, Emi embarked on a career as an Independent financial adviser in Bath before deciding to change to teaching. After completing her PGCE she taught Maths and Business Studies at Dauntsey’s and Marlborough College. Emi and her family have been lucky enough to enjoy travelling the world and have most recently enjoyed touring Europe in a motorhome before joining Edgeborough in 2017. Emi works in the busy marketing and admissions department at the school and is often seen out and about armed with a camera! She enjoys most sports and is kept busy with her two children and the family’s dog, Humphrey.

Ms S Wright

Sue joined Edgeborough in 2006 as Domestic Bursar and manages the catering and cleaning department. In her spare time she loves to walk her two dogs and go for the occasional 5k run.

Mr J Lowe

John joined Edgeborough as Estates Manager in April 2016. Prior to joining Edgeborough John had been the Estates Manager at The Belvedere Academy in Liverpool for almost 10 years. In his free time John enjoys football where he is a qualified level 4 referee and the club secretary at the local Combined Counties League side Farnham Town. He also has a keen interest in history.
