House Cross Country

On Friday 31st January Years 3 to 8 competed in the House Cross Country Competition. Our winners were: Year 3 Llewellyn Johnson & Hallé Wilks, Year 4 Bruno Dent & Elsie Hern, Year 5 Rex Wilks & Isabella Barty-King, Year 6 Tom Leonard & Isabelle Cohn, Year 7 Ben Russell & Iona O'Dowd and Year 8 Will Hutchings, Amelia Timberlake & Libby Brake. The winning house was Mitchell with Burton in 2nd, James 3rd and Jackson 4th. Well done to everyone for their efforts!

ICT
We are fortunate to have a good distribution of computers around the school and the curriculum is well supported by a variety of ICT projects. Children are able to access the internet and email through the school network and the Intranet continues to provide a platform for learning and communication.

This term, the children and staff arrived back to a brand new set of PCs in the School ICT Suite. These new computers combine speed and up to date software that will provide the best opportunity for every pupil to enjoy the benefits of technology and the World Wide Web.

We have successfully begun a full software upgrade to the Windows 7 operating system and Office 2010 Suite of applications. This change will make the school technology systems compatible with the most modern computer resources currently available. The Office 2010 Suite will provide better design and graphic features to support the research and presentation of computer work in all departments.
