Join the Edgeborough family for your gap year

Each calendar year, we offer the chance for four international students to work at Edgeborough as part of their gap year. The experience offers the chance to work at a top English school in the South East of the country. We may also have opportunities for graduate GAPS to work in the school. Located in 50 acres of Surrey countryside, we are just 40 minutes from London Heathrow and an hour-long train journey from Central London. Couple this with Europe being on your doorstep, it means the opportunities to travel and explore throughout weekends and school holidays are endless.

Each year we look for two male and two female students to fill our four vacancies. We have filled our GAP vacancies for 2023 and are now taking applications for the 2024. Applications should be sent to CRafferty@roberth619.sg-host.com. For a full description of the duties of an Edgeborough Gap, click here. Application forms can be downloaded here.  Please note a school reference from the Head will be requested.

Cate Moody, GAP 2017 – “The best year of my life. Such a family orientated school which made my first time living away from home comfortable and enjoyable, whilst also giving me the opportunity to explore Europe.”

Rohan Toft, GAP 2017 – “My Gap year was an amazing opportunity to live independently from home for the first time with the opportunity to work a full time job. The staff at Edgeborough were influential in helping me settle in and feel welcome. The school’s proximity to London and Europe made it easy to travel on weekends and make the most of the many holiday breaks throughout the year.”

Ally Keogh, GAP 2017 – “My year at Edgeborough was an incredible experience that I would recommend to everyone! The entire school community is so welcoming and inviting, making you feel part of the Edgeborough family from the outset. The school is in great proximity to London and the school holidays give you the opportunity to travel all over Europe!”
