A wonderful week of music at Edgeborough.

On Tuesday the Chamber Choir went to sing in the beautiful Charterhouse Chapel as part of the Godalming Music Festival.  A near perfect performance of the Laudamus Te from Vivaldi’s ‘Gloria’ and Bob Chilcott’s beautiful ‘Like a Singing Bird’ earned them the second highest mark of the day.

Thursday saw ten of our most experienced singers take part in the annual Vincent Singing Competition which was adjudicated by Marcus Pashley from Cranleigh school.  All performers sang two pieces and it was astonishing that not one of them slipped up on a note or a word.
Cai was judged to be the overall winner in a very keenly contested competition. Mr Pashley, described the overall standard as ‘utterly remarkable’.
