Edgeborough held its Remembrance Service on Friday 13th November that was live streamed to the school and parents for all to take part. The service was organised by Year 8 pupils with the theme based around Keith Douglas, a famous WWII poet and Old Edgeburian, who was killed in 1944. All Old Edgeburians who died in the wars were remembered individually. The Chamber Choir gave beautiful performances of ‘Remember Me’ and ‘Dona Nobis Pacem’ and with poems and prayers read out loud, the service offered an important time of reflection and an opportunity to give thanks to all those that sacrificed their lives.

From the early years to senior prep, Edgeborough had been busy leading up to Remembrance. ‘Every Poppy Counts’ was an important focus, creating beautiful artwork to wear and put on display throughout the school.
